Solar-Wilson Village is your 'home away from home'.   The Village is nestled away on a forty acre ranch in Ledbetter Texas,  5 miles away from Round Top, a city famous for its antique shows and musical festivals. The village setting is perfect for a romantic get-away, a  quiet family vacation or an artist's retreat. We also host large events such as weddings, parties, art or cultural exhibitions, yoga retreats and musical festivals  for those who want a serene setting surrounded by nature. Solar-Wilson Village provides serenity, quiet and peace within 8 miles of the city of Giddings and 26 miles of the cIty of Brenham in Texas. Both cities have a wide range of stores, restaurants and shops. Solar-Wilson Village is midway between Houston and Austin and about an hour's drive from either city. 

Solar-Wilson Village was founded by Moji and Margaret Solar-Wilson, a  legally married Nigerian lesbian couple who both emigrated  from West Africa over thirty years ago. They met and got married in New York. Margaret and Moji are both passionate advocates for diversity and inclusion of all people regardless of ethnicity, race, gender, sexuality, or religious affiliation. They  have a vision to create a taste of traditional, warm and authentic African hospitality in the heart of Texas - in a setting that is welcoming to all.
